Modern Irish Farmhouse Design
Contemporary Blockwork Construction, Northern Ireland
This project was the design & construction of a replacement dwelling on top of an old derelict house – part of the family farm. The new house needed to respond to the significant exposure that the site situation entailed.
The build had a focus on sustainable design, hence we utilised modern blockwork construction with lightweight blocks providing thermal insulation and density for thermal storage. In addition, Solar PV’s provide ecological electrical support to the heat pump, warming the house and providing comfort.
